Hello there, Friends!
Your friend & former Mayor here. Just checking in to see how all of you Torontonians are doing!
Doesn’t it seem like it has been raining forever? I cant remember the last time I saw the clear blue sky and the golden sun shining down. Hopefully the rain will stop soon.
I’ve been busy lately with some volunteer projects as well as sitting on the board of directors for several other organizations.
I was in Honeydale mall in Etobicoke several weeks ago, during the opening ceremony of a new wing of the mall, and I realized how much I miss my old life in the public eye — things were so different back then.
They were much more fast-paced and exciting, I must say! No two days would be the same, and there would always be a crisis or issue to tackle. And I would always tackle that issue head on 🙂
There have been times that Marilyn would wait up for me during those late nights working as Mayor of Toronto — she never was happy when I was spending too much time at the office.
I guess she just didn’t understand the passion I hold for public office. Maybe she never will.
Thanks for listening, Friends!
